Hi.
Got a question about immigrating as a skilled worker without job offer
(as far as I know getting job offer in financial sphere in Canada
before immigrating is as possible as a lottery winning). I work in a
commercial bank in Ukraine. I passed a self-assessment test and got
more than 67 points. But there's one little problem concerning my
occupation. As far as you know, only 38 occupation subtypes can be
eligible for skilled worker immigration. I'm a chief manager of the
bank office - practically my job duties more likely correspond to the
those of the "financial manager" (code 0111) according to the NOC
classification, but the title still contains the words "bank manager"
that can be perceived by a CIC officer as an occupation under the code
of 0122 - Banking, Credit and Other Investment Managers - in this way
my application could be declined.
Could you please give me a least tip about my chances to succeed with
my application taking into account my occupational situatuion.
Thanks in advance!

job title is not the issue but the main duties performed. if your employer can back you up on your duties then you are good to go.

Check your duties and responsibilities against those specified for financial manager (code 0111). If they match then forget about the job title and apply

You should show your Job Title and Job responsibilities similar to those which are mentioned in that list to avoid any confusion and make your case more stronger.

Indicate you fall on NOC 0111 and match your job responsibilities with it. Then you are good enough to apply.
