Hi guys,

I need your help on this topic - Applying for PR as a skilled professional.

Kindly share with me your views taking into account the following

1. I want to immigrate to canada and apply for a PR in canada in the Skilled workforce category (FSW) - I fall under NOC 1111 (Accountants and advisors) with 5yrs of professional experience (outside canada) and ACCA.

2. I have no job offer as yet however im actively checking if my company has an opening in canada for which I can apply in but now - no job offer.

3. Based on online trial assessments, I was able to get 430 points out of 500 for eligibility.

4. I wish to go to Ontario and work/study from there

Please share your experience on the above process (especially in the recent years 2015/2016) and how long, how much is needed.
Also, if my application is denied, will it affect my chances ifi apply again requesting fora students visa.

Whats your take on this? I am stuck and I need to make a decision fast as it affects my career.

Im sure plenty of members in this forum have being through this- kindly share withme your experience on this form of applications, how long it takes, it is worth opting for this method or should I apply for a student visa.

Thanks a bunch
Cheers
God bless you all! :D

430 is too low to be selected under the FSW/Express Entry program. Historically, only those with 450 points or more have ever been selected. Over the last few months, only those with more than 480 points have been selected.

FYI - the maximum number of points isn't 500 - it's well above that (it's possible to have a score over 1000 if you have a job offer).
