Skilled worker and SOWP

Hi there,

I am a software engineer in Canada on PGWP. I want to bring my spouse to Canada. I am wondering if i can apply for their SOWP when i am on PGWP or if i should just apply for her visit visa?
What is a quicker and better option? Please guide me if there is any other way to bring my spouse here.
Also, what is considered a skilled worker? Is a software engineer considered a skilled worker?
