Hello All:
I am a new member to this forum, its awesome! Thanks to all the helpful folks in advance for your time and help.
My background summary:
Age/ Nationality: 28 single male, Indian.
Background: BS Electrical Engineering (India) MS Biomedical Engineering (USA)
Domain/ work experience: Electrical/ electronics medical design & manufacturing, healthcare management, Quality auditor & management, biomedical systems & management, Biomaterials researcher: total of 6+ years of work experience. Currently in work visa in USA.
Interest: Immigrating to Canada
Why: I have my brothers family in USA, immigrating to Canada seems like a natural choice to help me live closer to my family. I am interested in pursuing a management degree either in USA or Canada. Canadian PR, is my gateway to maintain access to North America and stay close to family. It would allow me to discontinue work and pursue personal interests, if need be.
In my limited research I find that:
1. Skilled immigration is the first best choice. However the best fitting profile: 1122 Professional Occupations in Business Services to Management is already capped. Profiles that best match my other experiences are currently not a part of the 29 list - Eg: health care managers, science/ engineering/ manufacturing managers.
2. I have an aunt and uncle living in Toronto. But I do not think they could sponsor me in family immigration category.
Please advice me the best possible track to pursue, here are my questions:
1. Does employment based immigration seem like the only quickest way?
2. Do you think that I could be a fitting candidate for any of the Provincial nomination programs?
3. Is the Manitoba General stream a viable choice for me? I would need to reach out to find any family friends/ distant relatives to help complete the requirement criteria.
4. How possible is it for the NOC 29 list to get revamped in the immediate future, is it worth waiting for?
5. Are there any other categories/ possible directions to pursue for the PR?
Please advice, thanks again for the valuable directions.
Peace!
