I am considering to work and migrate in Canada. And I want to know first the options I have in order to sponsor my sister before I pursue my job application. She is now 48, married with dependent child. Is there a way she can immigrant in Canada? I'm not yet married and even if I get married, I want to have her with me. Our father died already and our mother is taken care by our sister who is a nurse. Thank you in advance for you all your feedback.

You can only sponsor your sister if you are already PR, she cannot be added to an Express Entry application.

The rules for sponsoring brothers and sisters are strict

You can sponsor close relatives, related by blood or adoption, such as brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, or grandchildren only if they meet all of the following conditions:

They are orphaned,
They are under 18, and
They do not have a spouse, common law partner, or conjugal partner.

So in this case, you would not be able to sponsor her under any circumstances.

thank you so much devnill for your feedback. You do mean that even if I am already PR, I cannot still sponsor her and even Express Entry application is not possible for her?

Correct. As she is 48, unless her husband is under 45, she is unlikely to be able to immigrate over at all.

You're welcome, sorry its not better news.

well, there is a reason :) and great opportunities for her doesn't stop here. :) I need to think now if I will still consider pursuing my application. God bless you!...

how about her dependent son? my nephew? He is 13 now. Is there a way I can sponsor him if I am PR? and eventually if he is PR he can sponsor my sister and brother in law.

Not sure on that one - try going through this eligibility to try it. (Pretend you already have PR for it to work)
