I plan to apply to SINP International Skilled Worker -Occupations In-Demand sub-category. I can get a Certificate of Employment with job title INTERIOR DESIGNER, which is not included in the list of Occupations in Demand. However, my actual duties are that of NOC 2253 -Drafting technologists and technicians, which is in the list. I read somewhere that the job description/duties is more important than the job title. Can I apply, and what are the chances that I will be selected?

will appreciate any comments.

Yes, you can. They check only duties minutely for eligibility.

thanks for that.

I have another question. I have an existing EE profile with NOC 5242 - Interior Designers & Interior Decorators. I want to apply to SINP EE subcategory with NOC 2253 - Drafting technologists and technicians since i do these duties as well. Is it ok that NOC code of my EE submitted to CIC is different from my SINP EE?
