I am looking for the same answer. Anyone who got a NOC mismatch but during secondary review, got through... Anyone?? Please enlighten us.

This is better, delete maximum irrelevant duties from the existing job reference letter, and go for that updated letter for new intake. It will work.
Imp. , Reducing duties won't misrepresentation. Only adding or altering is doubtful.
