Hey guys, I am been following this thread for a couple of weeks now. I am a April applicant, Sponsoring my Bangladeshi spouse. My file got transferred June 15th to Singapore.

I just wanted to let you guys know that yesterday I received two emails in regarding the Genesis of my Relationship and A39 - Settlement Arrangements from Singapore visa office. A39 - Settlement Arrangements was really weird for me because I already gave them a signed letter from parents stating they would support me and I will be living with them. Anyway at least April applications are moving now.
Goodluck to everyone and thanks for all your helpful posts.

Hope everything will be ok :) how the officer act with your husband?

The officer was nice. Maybe it was just 8am and he had a good mood at the beginning of the day lol ;D

He looked into our pictures and asked all details about that. He didn't see another proofs

He asked my husband: "If you were me, should you approve for this case?" :o

I think it's good sign, some people were saying that officer didn't even look the relationship evidence, were rude with PA, etc

They seem to just want more proof of the development of our relationship. I guess our chat logs, phone history, and explanation of the events of our arranged marriage should be sufficient. I never sent anything expect photos and my plane ticket for evidence. It was enough evidence for my dad's friend to sponsor his wife last year in only 5 months!
I pasted the email below.

Dear (Addressed to both me and wife and sent to both our emails provided on our application)

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

The following additional documents are required to verify your claimed spousal relationship, in 30 days:-

· A detailed descriptions of the genesis and development of your relationship. For example, detailed descriptions of the circumstances of your first meeting, as well as, detailed information about the development of your relationship after your first meeting/contact (This may include information pre-marriage, marriage, and post-marriage).

You must comply with the above requirements within thirty days (30) from the date of this letter. Failure to comply with these instructions may result in the refusal of your application.

All documents that are not in either English or French must be accompanied by a certified translation. It is your responsibility to notify this office of any change in your or your/ sponsor's mailing and email addresses, contact numbers, marital status, family configuration or employment.

Sincerely

I'm not worried if interview come or not. If interview she'll have to lug her pregnant belly and our baby daughter to the interview. I'd like to see them tell her our marriage isn't genuine.

I've done several interviews already in Vietnam and Canadian consulate in Vietnam to prove our marriage is genuine so I think we're well prepared.

What I'm concerned is why medical shows in progress. And April applicants got approved or message from CIC but I haven't heard anything from CIC concerning my application.

Hi everyone,

New member here. Been playing the waiting game since March, but just registered this account.

Application submitted (in Canada, but through Outland application) :7 March 2016
Confirmation of Application (Singapore office): 26 April 2016
Sponsor Approval: 4 Aug 2016
Medical: submitted with application

CIC says processing times in Singapore takes 11 months. Just hoping that the 4 months just to approve the sponsor is not an indication of any problems, or of a long approval time.

Cheers,
Canjust

Why so long for SPR approval?

Your spouse is Singaporean?

My wife is Indonesian, but Singapore processes the app. So the actual timeline is 15 months not 11.

Hi and welcome.

I just clicked processing time for Singapore and it says 20 months. I remembered it being 26 months so it must have come down.

Also you were approved as a sponsor before April 26, 2016. You can only be approved as a sponsor before they transfer your application to the appropriate visa office.

my bad it's 11 months for Singapore.

That's what happens when you get an hour sleep and baby has a cold waking you up at 5am as I'm typing now.

I think the long Sponsor approval is just the e-cas update they did changing everyone's sponsor side to decision made.
