My timeline might not be as bad as some others. What I feel frustrated about is, if there were applicants before me (august, september) were receiving updates on theirs, it would atleast feel like my time will come. But from what I am seeing by stalking this forum for months is nothing, absolutely no DM from singapore is made in last 5/6 months (at least). Plus I did not find this website before applying. My file looks totally ameture compared to the organizational level of applicants I see here. Just all the documents serialized in one package. No tabs or separations or stuff. We went to honeymoon few months after sending the package, and later figured out that might be a red flag as well.

We sent in additional documents to SVO after we applied. We went on holiday in Bali and we mailed them everything, boarding passes, hotel bookings, shopping reciepts , restaurant receipts, pics, receipts from activities etc.

Don't worry you're not the only one with red flags lol.

I've seen SVO sending the interview letter within a month or two so I think you're good. You should order GCMS notes just to be sure.

Also keep in mind that there is not many applicants with SVO on the forum right now. As htquach pointed out there was only 8 applicants on the 2015 spreadsheet.

Oh I know, I've already ordered them twice and my file was only transferred on April 5.

I have a feeling that currently this topic is all of husbands who is desperately waiting for the outcome of their applications ;D ;D

On the other hand, one of my Facebook groups, most of the active members are wives. It seems their husbands are so confident in their applications, and the wives' worry is overeacted (or maybe they are just lazy).

I think we are in toughest stretch... three months after the SA. From what I have read, this is when the VO checks criminality, security and health requirements. All we are going to hear are crickets and start at "In Process".

As Mikeymyke and others have said, order them GCMS notes to see if there are any issues with your application during this time.

I am contemplating sending in additional information on a trip we went on to Thailand.

Yeah, my first notes were ordered 3 days after SA, nothing started- medical passed. I wanted to see if there was any warning notes from CPC-M to SVO as I read on another thread that they would put Review Required on the eligibility and maybe write a note to the officer abroad if there was any initial worries. Now I'm waiting for second notes to see what they've done so far.

It can't hurt to send more info. We sent it basically same time they sent us AOR2, and we corrected an error on my wife's form at the same time, so I don't think it had any effect on processing time.

I'm not worried at all about the SEC/CRIM assessments as my wife has never left her country, is only 22, and has never had any sort of military/government position. I can't imagine it taking very long.

My wife printed the pics from Word onto regular paper. We scanned and printed everything else and it was mailed by her to the VO. We sent it to the PO address

I Just received a letter for Passport Request today!!!!!! We will fill out the form and send my wife's passport tomorrow. My daughter already have her Canadian Passport, do we need to send my daughter's passport too? How long does it take to get my wife's passport back after we send it? I can't wait to make love with my wife LOL :-*

Hi everyone, just wanted to update you guys on some stuff i got back. I have not ordered GCMS notes. Emailed my local MP to see if they could get a status on whats going on and she got back to me yesterday.

Currently the medical has passed, the eligibility is in process and the background checks have not started. According to the employee at the MP's office, the background checks is what takes the most time cos it's done by an external agency. The CIC officer mentioned 17 months, no more,no less, for the whole process to be done, which is what is on their website. Hope this helps everyone.

My timeline is on the left for anyone who wants to know. I'm just hoping to not hear anything from CIC in the next few months, which I'm assuming will mean that the elgibility has passed.
