Hi Shaw,

You were right! They did send out the documentation on May 23rd, 2014 but because they omitted the house number on the got his re-med/ police clearance and passport request in the mail yesterday after going to directly pick it up from the post office. .............................

which was August 7th, 2014? We are very worried about this issue. Please would you or anyone be able to clarify and shed some light into this situation and what will happen.

Thanks so very much!

Hi synthesis

Immediately send an email to SVO at above address stating that you did not received the mail in time because they omitted the house no in the address of the package and you were able to collect it from post office yesterday and you are going to do re-medical tomorrow and send all the documents withing 2 weeks.

You go for re-medical and you can do it tommorrow and fee is Tk 1600.

You need a week for Police Clearence, so you will be able to submit all documents at VFS within 2 weeks (provided if you give the Police Inspector tk 1500 right away when he will come for inspection to your house )

30 days for re-medical and 60 days for submitting all documents are effective from the date the letter is issued i.e May 23.

I deserve a good fee ( Not free thanks ) when you will reach Canada for saving your life, comparing the service of your stupid lawyer.

Do the re-medical tomorrow and inform them by email tomorrow attaching a scanned copy of re-medical and put SVO in problem in refusing you application.

Wish you luck.

Hi Shaw,

We already sent out an email today detailing the delay and the problems they created with the address. My husband is already doing exactly what you've stated. In fact, he will get the police clearance within 3 days or so as he did the first time. He will be sending out all the documentation within a week. We don't have a lawyer, we are on our own. But I'm not sure but would they reject our application due to their own fault and stupidity in omitting the house number that has already been bought to their attention and corrected on June 23, 2014? They never communicated with us that they have sent out the mail, no email nothing. They kept re-sending the mail in the same incorrect address over and over again without ever caring to look why it was being sent back to them and correct the address, when they actually had the correct address in file the whole time, i.e. the house number provided in the original application. Pure carelessness from Singapore officers. So on what basis would they reject it when it was their damn fault due to disgusting carelessness?

My question is would they consider counting from the date they re-sent it instead, i.e. August 7th, 2014 since it's their damn fault for creating this mess over something so simple? How can one possibly send documentations within the time specified when Singapore is the one that sends things incorrectly, without any clear communication that they have sent anything out (all it says on E-CAS is that "We started processing your application on May 23, 2014." which communicates absolutely nothing about them sending out documents on that date, all that statement says is they started processing the application, which could mean anything, if they don't specify.) resulted in this delayed shipment and then possibly reject it and say it's our fault..? What the heck?! It's only through this forum was I able to know that "In Process" means they will send you requests for re-medical and passport (I didn't know about this either!) within a month. I understand they are overworked but these silly mistakes the Singapore officers are making can seriously damage people's lives. They should be fully aware that this is no joke and it's a serious matter that they have the power to influence people's lives affairs. There should be more thorough staff training and more competent staff recruited who actually take their jobs seriously and respect the power that they have.

Anyway, thanks for listening to my ranting and I appreciate the replies.

Hi Jannat

Of course, SVO generally sends a couple of Visas together. You can do me a favour, by collecting my visa from VFS together with yours and drop it in our home.

By the way, did you check when your passport reach SVO ?

Does VFS, Dhaka website shows that when you give search by your tracking number ?

Hi Shaw,

We are thinking that since they resent the documents well after 60 days (2 months) on August 7th (counting from May 23rd), if it was an absolute law that after 60 days they will not accept any documentations, then why bother constantly re-sending the documents well after 2 months have past from the original date?! There is absolutely no sense in doing that. I'm beginning to think we are being paranoid and worried for nothing.

Hi Synthesis

Your thinking is positive and it will lessen your worry if you can think that way !

But your husband can do re-medical today in Dhaka and the result will reach on-line Manila centre of SVO right away and it is positive for you. Bring that in the notice of SVO immediately.

Ask your husband to submit the documents as early as possible. This the best thing you can do. What else you can do !

Good wishes

Shaw.

Hi Shaw,

Just to update you and anyone following up, I just received an email response from CIC this morning that they are going to count from the date they resent it, which is August 7th; so now we actually have more than a month to send in the documents :D :D We are very relieved. Now we can move on and continue planning. It has been such a rollarcoaster the past two days. Phew. Many thanks for your help. (At this moment I can only thank you with virtual "thank yous" but once you're here we'll treat you to the best seafood tacos in Toronto (Seven Lives at Kensington Market) absolutely heaven :)) haha

Thanks,

Message to all the Applicants in SVO is the following :

" If your application went into In Process and you did not get your PP request letter within 2 weeks by registered postal mail you can remain certain that SVO has typed in-correct address over your package. Now-a-days it is very common. So enquire at your local post office. Still if you do not get it in post office then email SVO that you did received your mail and ask them to check the address typed on the mail. "

Ah. Seems many Bangladesh addresses are mistyped in delivery. Perhaps an Bangladesh specialist is needed over in Singapore. :p
