Hi Tumrob,

Trust me, it is a real trouble sign for you.

I am sure SVO issued a letter on July 30 and sent by postal mail to the Applicant for Permanent Resident's mailing address to do re-medical within 1 month and submit all paperes to VFS within 2 months, and they attached a letter for the physician to do re-medical without that you can not do remedical.

Many reasons you did not received the mail. They may mis-typed a in-correct address.

So immediately the Applicant for Permanent Resident must send an email to the SVO that you did not received any mail requesting to submit Passport and ask them to resend it by email to you. Whenever you get it just rush and do the re-medical, you have no time.

Singapore-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca

Wish you are saved from this trouble.

Haha yeah I gave up clicking "See translation" on Facebook a long time ago already... English -> Thai translation doesn't work soooooo bad, but the opposite simply does not work at all, unfortunately for us :p

Yes the mail already reached to your Canadian Lawyer address. You and my time line is same and the letter reached to Canadian address 9 days ago.

Enquire quickly and ask him to check. If you fail to do the re-medical withing 30 days your application may be refused.

If you lawyer tells that he did not received the mail, still your spouse can send the email to Singapore as I stated above.

Not necessarily... we went in process on Nov 4th and didn't receive passport request until Jan 27th
You don't know what the Visa Officer is doing in the background
In our case they were doing an internal background check with the RCMP as applicant had been in Canada for 9 months

Good luck with this journey :)

We plan to use VFS. It seems to be the most secure method of handling your passport. There are two VFS offices you can choose from, Jakarta, and Surabaya. Once you submit passport and required docs, you can track it through VFS tracking system. You will be able to follow the progress through this. Also check your ECAS for updates as well. Once it shows Decision Made, you shall have your passport with COPR in a few weeks.

Hi Koifish76,
Thanks for yr info. Are you applicant from Indonesia as well?
Do you get the latest info from VFS Indonesia that we can use their service to send passport?
From information that i got last year, as family class sponsorship we couldnt used VFS Jakarta n Surabaya bcos they didnt service family class sponsorship. So i am a bit confused.
Please correct me if i am wrong.
Thank you.

Oct.20, 2014!
It was only recently things changed, sometime this year.

According to VFS, they are handling passport measures. Should cost 620,000 Rupiah

They don't handle any other inquiries regarding PR though. I would recommend visiting the office (Kuningan City Mall, 2nd floor, Jakarta).

I couldn't paste link, but it is from the vfs Indonesia.

Hope this helps. I am using VFS in Bangkok, wife is Thai. I have decided it is the most secure method, handling passport, including from Indonesia.

According to the press release, http://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/indonesia/english/news.html vfs just opened last month July 11!, with the office I mentioned above opening on the 14th of July. Seems as though you will be one of the first to use their new service. Good luck.

Oct.20, 2014!
Hi fellow Singapore members! Awhile back, in March, I asked whether a need for a new Singapore thread was needed. After second thoughts, it occurred to me that this thread has a lengthy history with so much information for future members/applicants, myself included. However, the main reason I wanted to start a new thread (briefly), was the fact the spreadsheet was confusing to me and I didn’t feel that seeing stats from 2010, 2011 and most of 2012 were reflecting the current trends. So, after waiting a few months, I started a personal project and began to compile data from all the applicants who are going through the Singapore Visa Office.

I don’t mean to offend anyone, nor take away from the hard work and effort those of you have put into the existing spreadsheet, but I feel that a newer version is warranted and will give members a more clear insight on the current trends of each stage of processing through the Singapore V.O.

With that said, here is the NEW Singapore spreadsheet below in my signature. ;D I hope you can see that I have put a little time into this and the reason being is, I am a more recent applicant and like many of you, am apart with my loved one and seeing the 30 month wait time does not reflect in accuracy the length of time we have to wait. We are actual stats, here, although a small body of work, but in theory we reflect the working times by our visa officers in real time.

One thing that I am not sure about is having members edit the spreadsheet. After reading so many members complain about others screwing up or playing with the numbers on the older spreadsheet, I too, can see why. ::)The data is not reflecting what they post. Whether it is intentional or not doesn’t matter. These are tough times for us and the last thing I need, personally, is someone wasting hours of my time and throwing my work down the drain and have false data inputted which makes this spreadsheet pointless. So, if it is ok with you all, I would like to ask for you to keep sharing the updates in your journey and I will do my best to keep the spreadsheet updated.

Now with that being said, I hope you can appreciate the work put in and although it may not be perfect, I am excited to publish the NEW spreadsheet in the Singapore thread and also confident to share it with you all, knowing you are the ones who gave me these numbers, indirectly of course. Ha ha. :p

Here are some little things to help you and future members understand the New Singapore Spreadsheet.

1. Data complied from previous 2 years (September 2012 to present).
2. Future members are encouraged to join.
3. All dates are month/day/year format.
4. No sent application dates. (In the big picture, this is of little importance).
5. Sponsorship Approval is not on members timelines. Instead, the SA date is either obtained from them posting when they got SA or in absence, date of File Transfer (F-T).
6. Data not available, N/A is shown.
7. Some dates were not shared or available, however they mentioned comments “a week ago” “few days ago” etc. In these cases, I used personal judgement to include a date.
8. AOR 2 – this is the date applicant receives email. Although may not occur most of the time. Some think this is the date medical results received appear in ECAS. This is ok as well.
9. Re-Medical. Results tabulated from either of, their/your 2nd (re-do) Medical Letter, or the date you completed your 2nd (re-do) medical.
10. The date you completed your 2nd medical (over the letter) is preferred, as it is more informative. If this is confusing, please let me know.
11. Unlike the CIC website, the Total Wait Time is the total from both parts (sponsor and applicant).
12. Some members have not posted in this thread, but have in others. Members on here are from 7-8 other threads that I have found who are applying through the SVO.

****Please refrain from editing the spreadsheet. Due to the lack of activity, it is quite easy for me to keep it updated. In the future, I expect it to get busier again, and will ask another member to assist me. ****

Members omitted, please let me know and also PM me if you are not comfortable posting as well.

Enjoy the NEW Singapore spreadsheet. I hope it helps each of us through every stage till we are at the finish. ;D
