thank you so much.!! I actually made a mistake and am worried i sent the courrier to the robinson address because thats wat they sent me on my Letter of Approval from Mississauga...and i put the file number and uci in a letter inside the envelop not on top of it. so now im worried

When did you receive your file number? My wife's application was received in January and she still hasn't received any email whatsoever from Singapore.

I also sent more documents (and change of address) to Singapore's office via mail and I did not include the file number since I don't have it (or I don't know where it is. Is it the one found on sponsorship approval letter?) so I hope it will work anyway.

Did you check your ECAS? When was file transferred to Singapore? Did it state "medicals results received"?
If not, then there was probably a problem with something and they are asking for a new medical. Most of us have to re-do it anyways at some point. Take solace in knowing they are working on your file.

Also, I would order GCMs notes, which will come in 30 days, although I would not wait that long to do the medical again.

Have you ever ordered the notes? I ordered them more than one month ago and still haven't received them. I sent them an email asking for the reason of the delay and here's what they replied to me:

We acknowledge that your request is now overdue. According to our records, your request was due on July 23rd, 2014.

Although we make efforts to provide timely access to record, the high volume of requests our institution processes makes it impossible to determine the exact date your file will be ready.

We apologize for any inconvenient this situation may cause. The information will be forwarded to you as soon as possible.

I have ordered notes three times before for TRV visas and always received them before 30 days. I even ordered notes for a TRV after I ordered the ones for the PR application and I already received them... It's weird. I wonder what's causing the delay...

Yes I ordered my first set a few days after file transfer, so around July 20. Still have two weeks to go i think. It is summer, I'm sure there is a slight decrease in productivity.

What's file transfer? Is it when it is sent to Visa Office? The date for "application received on ..." on ECAS? Also, what is AOR?

Hey my GCMS notes are 2 weeks overdue, what's the email address used to contact for inquiry? I'm surprised they acknowledged your request was overdue.

AOR is acknowledgement of receipt
Singapore is usually very good at sending AOR when file is transferred to them

once you receive your notes you will see the dates

Here is a news to share with ppl...

My elder brother's spouse means my sister -in- laws have applied on Mississauga on 13th Jan 14.

Her file has transferred on SG at 25th Feb14 (AOR).

Today she has rcvd PPR with 4 photos and a Bengali notarized Nikahnama ....

It is a hard copy letter (they snail mailed it) including all the marriage photos and inviation cards (original -that has submitted during app)....

Feeling a bit surprised!!

Its took less than 7 months.... I was expecting atleast a year....(I am also waiting more than 16 months ON FSW APPLICATION... )....

Below is the her ECAS status:


1. We received your application for permanent residence on January 13, 2014.

2. We started processing your application on August 4, 2014.

3. Medical results have been received.

May I know from where and when u submitted ur passport ?

We submit her passport on 26th May, 2014 at VFS Dhaka center.
we collect it late coz my works in Bank outside of Dhaka. <<She received sms and email on 31 July to collect passport.>>
your info showed you submit on 22 June, hopefully you'll received your passport end of this month.

May I know when ur status change into decision made ????because my status still show in process did u send them any mail regrading ur passport ????

How do they send this acknowledgement? By mail to the applicant? By email? Like I said on ECAS it says they received the application on January 28 but my wife and I have never received anything from them.

Going back to P.O. address, I think, if we request a signature upon receive, there might be a delay as there's no one to sign..

If the file number is on top, it MIGHT facilitate to update the record little bit faster( my personal thought, as they don't have to open the whole package to know the exact file number..)

Anyways, don't panic buddy. Everything would be fine.

She received the PPR within 6 days from ECAS status change in Dhaka Address? Have they mentioned about the notarized version of nikahnama?

As far I, know, nikahnama is never part of documents to be submitted..
