We just receive the confirmation of permanent residence and the passport from Singapore.... :) :) I have one question for you. My wife is with me on a TRV... how do we get the COPR sign by the immigration officer. Do we have to go out and in.... and where can I do it if I am in Montreal....

Thanks you for your help....

I just got the answer from CIC and we have to go out and in at any ground frontier.... ask to the immigration officer that we want to get the COPR approve... or you can do it without going out, but you have to schedule a meeting with an officer... It can take at least two months before it can be done.

I wish good luck to everybody and thank you for this forum.... ;) ;) ;)

Congrats..I know a person going through the same process..His wife was here in TRV..So, what thy did ..thy went out of Canadian border at Prescot and reentered..When asked at US border, they explained the reason..and it's all fine..

Does anyone know what size the passport photos are supposed to be? The letter we received does not mention it. Is it 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm or are they asking for the full passport photo of 5 cm x 7 cm?

Good news guys.... I just checked my status with the tracking number given by VFS office in Dhaka. They have sent back my wife's passport today... just waiting for it to arrive for pick up :D :D ;D ;D.

For Canada, it is always 45mmX35mm, according to the picture specification instruction.

When did Singapore receive your file?

Is the re-medical just a normal, automatic, renewal system once you've past one year? Or, do they only ask for it when they're ready to put your case in processing? Any idea?

Usually they ask for remedical when they starts processing your application.

if you are inside in Canada on TRV visa and you have COPR you have to leave Canada and renter by Air,Road with COPR as a landed immigration. When you pass the border then CBSA will sign on COPR paper at he border or airport then you wife will become a permanent resident.
