Thanks Shaw
Medicals can actually be extended for up to 12 months past expiry
Not worried about spending the money... Applicant is here in Canada on TRV but dependants are in home country with grandparents outside where panel physician is located... so we will contact our MP tomorrow to find out if the non accompanying dependants need to redo their medicals

Send SVO an email at the following address and ask the clarification and they will reply within 3/4 days and that will be most authentic :

E-mail: https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=singapore

Thanks, but you are wrong, I do vote and know who I am voting....

Sorry that was rude to assume. If you don't here back from the email, and hopefully you have already, then email your riding's MP.

We have good news!!
Received a request for remedical and passport
Along with Appendix C

So... wondering why the medical wouldn't be extended since that is the only thing permitting the visa from being issued
Also do dependant children who are non-accompanying have to have the medical done again??

Very happy to have received this email !!

It's their call whether to extend or not, but no biggie, it's fast and you're almost there!

Hey sohana any update from SVO. They got my husband's passport in the 28 how about ur?

Congrats to Cdnmom and everyone else who has had good news. It seems like a good year for Singapore immigration. As for us, we sent my wife's passport in with the police certification (which was very hard to get this time) last week, and the new medicals have been received, but ecas still shows "Application received." Ah well, nothing to do but wait.
As for extending medicals, I wish everyone luck, but in our case our original medical had only expired about a week or two at most before we got the request for remedical. It seems they prefer that to just extending.

Just to tell that we sent my spouse's visa for approval in Singapore before Christmas and the status just change today for "A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision." :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Just a question for you.... like I told you on the previous message, we sent my wife's passport to Singapore the 20 of december.... but we did not receive any news from them since... Some of you know how long it should be before they return the passport...
Thank you...

I have submitted my application on August 2013 and they previewed on ECAS on aug 16th that my application and medical report has been received.
After 3 months in 19th November 2013, I received a mail that my sponsor has met the eligibility criteria and my application has been forwarded to Singapore for further processing,

Can please someone let me know how much time it will for the Singapore embassy to complete their proceedings ? I am getting really anxious :/
Please I need your suggestions.

Ok just one minute while I get my crystal ball out. You should look at the spreadsheet if timelines on this site. The official current processing time for Singapore is 28 mo from when THEY receive the application. The reality is give or take 1-4 years depending on your application, your visa officer, and whether or not you get queued for an interview. Look at people's timeline. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. A lot of people are getting in around one year of Singapore receiving the application now. Best of luck for speedy passage

I think you will get news of passport pick up very soon. Very soon. Maybe within a week or two. The official line is 2 to 6 weeks from submission for Singapore office

Got Re-medical instruction today. E-cas is showing "Application Received". But there is nothing written about police certificate, Schedule A or passport request.

So when I can expect for passport request? Any idea????
