my last email they repaly this

Dear Sir / Madam
Completion of a medical examination is not a guarantee that a permanent resident visa will be issued.

There is a waiting period which varies from case to case for every medical results. We do not want to hold on to any applicant's passport which may not be required should the medical examination fails.

Please be advised that the status of your application has not changed since our last reply to you.

Rest assured that the visa office in Singapore will be in contact with you if further information is required.
Please also note that repeated status enquiries can contribute to delays in the processing of a file as the officer has to take time away from processing in order to respond to the request(s).
::) oh in that case i should just leave them alone, it sucks that they can take all the time in the world they want to process our case that was in since begininng of 2011! second month of 2013 almost finished!

You can always hand it to them in person in Singapore, they return it the very next day
Not for everyone. Mind you, I waited 7 weeks for mine even though I handed it in in person. I'm a Singaporean living in Singapore and it would be much easier to issue my Visa since it's easier to do a background check on me. Still, total process from application took 17 months to the issuance of my Visa.

For sure you receive a letter with it. Better look. If your file is not IN PROCESS yet mean either they want more evidence or more proof, or some other supporting documents once they received they will decide either PPR request or Interview. If those documents could not satisfy of relationship could be Interview hope not. If they are satisfy then PPR sure.

And if file IN PROCESS while you received those document mean you have PPR letter included or maybe in e-mail.

This is way i saw it works for Singapore if changed i do not know.
Best of luck.

hi thanks for your response. actually we already got request for another medical and the ppr request to send the passport once they have had the medical for two weeks. So we are sending his passport this friday. the envelope came with no letter from them we checked many times very thoroughly. actually emailed them and they responded saying they returned it because our case is almost complete! so i guess they just lazy and sent it with no letter of explanation (not a big surprise!)

It is good. You are on last stage. Singapore do not send any formal letter what you received that's way works. Same PPR letter for everyone expect name and file no tag is different. Good luck

I suggest you wait. Myorzg submitted her husband's passport when requested. Then asked for it back a couple of weeks after submitting cos he had to travel. Then had to submit it again. If you can avoid travelling while they hold your passport, pls do. I was assured by immigration that they put the highest priority with applicants whose passports they have.

Hi Hunter V,

If pick up the passport in person, do you still need that self-addressed envelope?
Hi smirky,

I'm not so sure for the SOP for submission via mail -> personal pick-up. I'm sure the PPR gives you specific options (delivery/pick-up) should you be applying from overseas or from Singapore itself.

Maybe you could email them to ask. I know if you reside in Singapore, they would call you to let you know that it's ready and you HAVE TO collect it personally or appoint a representative.

If you reside overseas, there is no option for personal pick-up but, you could arrange for/pay in advance for registered courier service.

It's best to check with SVO if u wish to pick up personally.

Hi All,

I am a quebec selected applicant filed for FED in feb 2012 at Singapore VO. My file was verified by CIO and forwarded to SG VO around may 2012. Since then there is no update. Even the Ecas show status as application received in feb 2012 thats all. Have no clue whats happening

When i filed my application, processing timelines for quebec applicants was 12 months but now they changed it to 23 months. Wondering which time lines apply.

Do they provide any details for email inquiry???

Cheers

No no! The instructions clearly state that:

"FOR PERSON RESIDING IN SINGAPORE: Submit you passport(s) in person to the address aove. Our reception desk is open Mon-Fri from 0830 - 0930 hrs.

You will be given an official receipt acknowledging that we have received a package from you. You will need to present this receipt when collecting your passport(s) and other documents. etc etc"
