Hi all,
I actually decided to go with the registered as I had nothing but vague answers from these courier cimpanies in BD. Singapore mailed the passport on May 25, 2012 as per the e-mail communication, however I have not receieved the passport yet. A bit worried, it's been more than two weeks. Don't know how much longer it is going to take. E-mailed Singapore asking for the tracking no. for the registered mail, waiting for a response, apparently it may take 28 days for them to answer my query :(.

Just have a look in the GPO and you might get it there. You could search it even without a tracking no. Just pretend with them as you're a policeman :D

believe me it works 8)

Already looked into that, both at Dhaka central and the airport. They haven't got the pkg yet, as per their record.

Sounds like the pkg not yet in BD. I can only say just don't get so worried as postal system is not that bad.

We're all hoping and praying you'll get it asap.

Yes, I have talked to the Post Master of GPO regarding the security level of a registered mail. He told me that, it is totally secured. Because, every point there remains an entry with its tracking number. So, no chance of losing your passport. It takes long, that's the problem. In case of Singapore to Dhaka, my practical experience tells that it may take upto 25 days !

But, don't worry at all bdlugger :)

It's right. Registered mail is very secured but it takes long to reach.

From Singapore it takes only a week for any package to reach Dhaka/South Asia by Registered Mail.
Big risk taken by the applicant.
May god help you.

You should check your facts before making them public. As per SingPost, the time for registered article (assuming air mail) for BD is 5-10 +2 (for registered article) business days. Weekends are different between Singapore (sat and sun) and BD (Fri and sat), so that adds one more day to the transit, and the time only applies for major cities.

arlnr of FSW category received all his letters sent from CHC Singapore in a week.

Janathan,
What do you mean by "Shiny, still its not waived unyil she gets the MR". If I understand correctly, MR is medical request. For Family class sponsorship, medical should be sent with application. You are talkig about FSW. Two processings are different.

Applicant who receive interview letter ecas shows only application received as of other applicant that the file goes in process mostly receive ppr request. I think i know what i am talking about.
