Couple people on the GCMS thread are trying to link ppr and PR approval to magically suddenly having DM on sponsor side.. it's misleading many people to thinking their apps are about to be approved

Yeah, and DM means you are financially responsible for your applicant(s) for 3 years, according to your income. One can only hope to "NOT" get an interview letter.

I wish everyone the best,i had a long wait, and still not over.I hope SVO moves along quicker now then when i had the wait!

If you get a DM on the sponsorship side, how long does it take for the PR side, mine still says in process.

Just wondering how long it took for others so i can have a estimate for when i should buy my wifes plane ticket, or go visit her.

No one can tell you for sure - too many varying factors. On average though it's taking about 6-10 months in total for Bangladeshis. There had been people who were processed within 3 months last year. And, there are people still waiting almost 2 years. So...

Check here if you already haven't:

Don't buy any plane tickets yet for your wife; not even when you get PPR. It's suggested to wait until you get passport back in your hand and then buying a ticket. You can certainly plan a visit if you wish. Good luck!

Wife received passport with copr yesterday. Waiting game is almost over.

DM on the sponsor side means nothing at all.

CIC just updated everyone's ecas.

The system is such an unexpected, weird and complicated! What does it mean if Sponsorship is approved and they still question the relationship and request for an interview?! I think by now we all know that every application is different. Even for passport request, people waiting time varies.

Congrats.

My wife's passport took about 30 days, yours took about 40 days. I took a chance and bought the ticket with leaving about 10 days extra room. Tickets weren'y only expensive but they were running out for August.

Good news is that there are some good deals to fly out of Bangladesh right now. It might be cheaper to get return flights rather than one way.

Btw shineon, we had just done our remedical and SVO took 30 days. So, I just think they were backlogged or short staffed near the end of summer.
