guyz what is the difference between tourist and temporary resident visa? which one should we apply if i want to visit my husband.

Temporary Residence Visa is the tourist visa.

I know this thread is mainly discussing Singapore timeline for spousal sponsorship. But is there anyone here who has experiences with how Singapore handles parents sponsorship files and where they are at right now with parents backlog? TIA

Hey everyone,

Just got my new GCMS notes a few minutes ago, everything STILL says "Not Started", and needless to say I am f*cking pissed off.

The notes were pulled from the system on the 14th of June.

The only difference between these notes and the last ones is there is a new note stating they recieved case specific information through MP office and they "advised first stage approval, forwarded to VO for processing, provided delays"

Almost everyone I've seen has had some sort of update to the eligibility with 2 months of file transfer.

We will definitely be applying for a TRV now, and if that is refused we will re-evaluate our options.

I will be placing the order for new notes sometime today.

I don't understand/like that last part of the note "provided delays".

I will be going to the MP office Monday to ask about that.

If TRV is denied I will strongly consider just moving to Indonesia.

Now that the interview is over,and we are waiting for instructions via email,i wonder how long they take getting you through the completion of required documents. My situation is this: They sent an email asking for remedical within 30 days,and we have completed the exam.We have also performed a police record check for her country as well as Canada.We were required to resubmit photograghs months ago,but have not sent them in.Since that time,we have new photos to submit,and the updated application forms as well.From my knowledge,i do not think that there is anything else required?Since the exam which was june 23,no notification as of yet from SVO.But,i would guess they will ask for the police checks next.Painful wait.

Hey man. Sucks that there was no change in the notes. Try not to let the process drive you crazy, it has been 4-5 months and I think we were all expecting to wait longer than this. Hang on man!! Order new notes (which you probs did already, apply TRV and by then another month will have passed.

Any particular reason why you did not follow their instructions to resend photos? I would just send whatever the hell they ask to appease them. If they asked for video of me doing 10 push-ups, they are getting it!!!

I only found out about the photos being refused through gcms notes.They sent the photo refusal to an email address that we didnt even put on our application.In a later email to them,i indicated the email notification about photo refusal was sent to an email addy that is not inuse anymore,and further it was not the one indicated in our application.So nothing was ever mentioned again about resubmission of photos.

Damn, such incompetence especially when they are dealing with people's lives. Well, you are very close to the finish line now. Not sure how long you have to wait for security check.

I totally understand it will likely take longer than 5 months... But to see no movement AT ALL when most people have eligibility assessed or in process after 2 months or so is extremely angering.

The process has been driving both me and my wife crazy since we were denied the study permit in December.

Another month will not have passed lol... Jakarta has a posted 5 day turnaround for TRV applications.
