Just to make sure

To the DM recipients,
Does your sponsor side say DM as well? Mine still says in process.

They generally never update the sponsor side.

Here is a list of SVO holidays.. http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/singapore-singapour/contact-contactez.aspx?lang=eng

Still not quite sure how you can feel "screwed" by 3 days of holidays over Xmas and New Years, especially considering there's been 4 holidays since then..

If it is anything like how it is here in Canada then that 3 days translate to 2 weeks of added vacation time offs and general feet dragging around THE holiday season...

And, it might just be me but I see a faster processing timeline for people after the new year. People from the late 2015s are being processed alongside the early 2016s it seems.

Oh, thanks for the list of holidays.

Yes it is true that 2016 applicants are being processed faster. This is the case across most if not all VO's. It is the effect of the new government and new approach to processing these applications.

i hope this works with SVO. new delhi cases are getting in 3 months most of the cases. so why not SVO!!. New delhi and ottawa VO is much more busier than others. still processing time is tremendous slow ???

Hari Raya Puasa is Eid holiday. It's one day at SVO and then 2 days at CVAC Dhaka and then the weekend.

Anyone here has any experience with Parents Sponsorship Timeline with SVO recently? Or, this thread is solely meant for Spousal Sponsorship?

FYI, some of the files from 2014, 15 & 16 batch have recently been forwarded to SVO for PR Processing after Sponsorship Approval.

I have yet to see any active members with the parent sponsorship on this thread.

Any news about those passport returns?

We're still waiting for interview date from SVO.
We received our GCMS note yesterday. In the notes, Mississauga Visa Officer recommended interview (Eligibility) and she/he input the info below:

I think our red flag is the student refusals of my husband in 2014 and 2015. So we have to prepare well for the interview because we think the visa officer will ask some questions such as 'what's your intention to come Canada?' or "Do you try to obtain the status to come Canada?" ??? :o

The only thing we can prove to them is our relationship is genuine and those study refusals are not concerned to my sponsorship decision

Any ideas please :(
