Hello Sammikens thank you so much for your reply. I checked vfs site with my info and found it updated that SVO dispached my PP. But my ecas status still IN PROCESS. BTW I am a Bangladeshi applicant. No need to call vfs in Thailand. Just check your vfs site with your info, if there any update you will get there. Lastly you will get a call or message when it is ready to pickup if i am not wrong.

I did not apply through a vfs centre so I don't have a tracking number... It didn't say to contact vfs on any letter I got from svo. Do all Bangladeshi applicants apply through vfs?

No, not all Bangladeshi applicant send passport through VFS. There is other courier option also like fedex, DHL. I send mine through VFS. BTW, where are you from if you do not mind?

My husband is from Thailand, they only recently opened a vfs centre so I did not use their services when sending his passport. We sent it through fedex and have a tracking number for when they send it out but so far it appears to not have been sent out. I'm hoping it comes soon because it has been over a month since we sent it in and almost a month from decision made ....

Hope your husband will get his passport soon. If it is over a month after DM, you should contact with SVO.

SOV TAKES WAY TOO MUCH TIME WHEN IT COMES TO FINAL STAGE

Should I contact them by email? It takes them 28 days to respond.. Or is there another way to contact for passport specific?

It's not always you will get response in 28 days. you may get response in 2/3 days. I do not know you can contact passport specification or not. If you want just send an email and clearly tell that your decision was made 7th April but still you did not get your passport back. Hope you will get a response soon. Good luck.

No news on our end too. My wife got Decision Made on 12 April. Last Monday (21 April) she sent a message to SVO to ask about her passport, and so far she hasn't got a reply...arghhh...! I really don't understand though....I thought once the decision has been made, it'd be so easy for them to stick the visa on the passport, and print the COPR, put everything in the envelope we provided, and mail the package away. Why they're taking so long is beyond me... O.o. May be they have a set schedule of passport mailing....may be they only package everything on a certain date of every month...who knows...

Ok well I emailed them and got the automated response that since my inquiry is about processing times I will not receive a response.... Aparently this would mean that I might have to wait for another 15 months to get it back because that's the processing time????

Augh I just want this to be over some other people have received their passports back and applied and sent their passports after me. :-[

I don't understand either it clearly states in the ppr to allow for 30 days of processing time... From what? From decision made? Or from the date the passport got there? Also they should send you some kind of notification when the passport will be sent because I hear a lot of stories of peoples passports getting lost in the mail or have failed deliveries and had no clue because Singapore or any other Canadian office didn't notify them.

In the event of someone's passport's getting lost *knocking on wood*, what would happen then?! Would the person have to apply from the beginning and start from scratch....?! O.o *speechless*

No they don't if they were granted status when this situation happens Singapore has to compensate because it is usually a fault on their end

Hello all,

I'm very worried. Please let me explain why....

My wife sent her passport about 15-16 days ago to Singapore and our status has been "in process". Yesterday that changed, but not to what we were expecting! It now says "application recieved". It seems to of gone backwards?!? Is this normal? What could be the reason for this?

My wife received email on march 24th requesting re-medical,Police Certificate and Schedule A. Medical done on 4th of April and all requested documents mailed on 11th April by registered mail to One George Street address. So 17 days has passed since we mailed the documents and I emailed SVO, they replied they havent received any documents yet. They told us they cannot give details in the future if they have received documents due to limited resources. We are getting kinda worried now because how will we ever know if they received the documents? What if SVO loses the documents and claim to have never received it? What are our options? My wife did keep the receipt of the registered mail. She lives in small town in Vietnam thats why we didnt have access to courier service like DHL. Maybe Vietnam post is really slow. What do you guys think? Should I ask my wife to travel to the city and mail the documents again using DHL in Ho Chi Minh City? How long does DHL take to mail letter from Vietnam to Singapore?
