Just wanted to stop in, say hi since my wife and I just joined the pool, sending off our apps yesterday from Bangkok. It was a long(ish) wait just to get them complete and sent out. Now anticipating the even longer wait so long as I am approved as sponsor living with her here in Bangkok. Fingers and toes x'd.

I don't know what to do next to expedite my process ...
If you have any idea regarding this topic please share ...

thanks...

Thanh245 applied Sept 2012 and got passport request on Feb 24, 2014. You are 2 months behind, hopefully you will get PPR soon means within 1 or 2 weeks. Praying for you.
iam from Vietnam. Only my Ecas changed to 'in Process', have had no passport request or any contacts from Cic yet. 15 months total from time Singapore vo received application. There is nothing you can do to expedite the process. Just have to wait. Good luck to all.

Welcome to the waiting game :)
Singapore seems to be picking up the pace lately... so hopefully your wait won't be too long

Don't worry, it takes time.

As SVO did not respond to your email it means it is within their time-frame of actions. They will PPR in due time.

Every thing is going to right direction.

life is perfect now since my wife is here in Canada with me :D

Guys, my wife's PPR letter instructs to send her passport (+ other required documents) to Singapore 6 weeks since her re-medical.

She did her re-medical on 11 Feb.....and 6 weeks from that is 25 March. But what if we send everything early, like next week...? Any harm in doing that?
Better early than late.. 6 week is the time limit they want your package to be in their hand.

application denied looking for appeal process :(

Please read the appelle thread and hope you can file good case so that you win. Don't worry, most of the appelle win.

Did your spouse had an Interview???

Give us more detail about the application....
When did you submit application

Application for sponsorship rec May 5 2013 sponsor approval May 26 2013
Singapore rec file June 3 2013

Interview requested Nov 3 with scheduled date on Nov 25
My wife asked for an interpreter because she wanted to make sure they didn't misunderstand her (she speaks English almost fluently)
2 Previous Marriage
1 to thai citizen - marriage arranged because she got pregnant (1996 divorced 2003)
1 foreign national - was told to sign paper to extend her stay (wasn't told it was marriage document) divorce 2012

reason for refusal request for interpreter -> assumed limited English ability
Previous Marriage to foreign national
She's 5 years older than me so not likely that it's a genuine relationship

What we submitted:
they don't believe we actually talk together even though we submitted phone records, Skype in english logs (printed 1057 pages at the time of sponsorship application) nearly 2000 by interview (brought copies to interview) also brought copies of wedding photo's invitations, plane tickets from when I've come to see her copy of hospital records from when we lost our baby where I signed as spouse, pictures of us on vacation, hotel records where we both signed in , copy of my life insurance showing her as my beneficiary, letters from my family (they weren't able to attend wedding due to work )
we had about 80 people at our wedding and had local politician attend as well submitted wedding book as well.

They also were kind enough to insinuate at her interview that I only married her for access to her daughter from her first husband (She was 16 at the time)
We applied for 1 PR applicaton for my wife my stepdaughter was to stay in Thailand to finish school
I don't know what more we could have done for those ........... people

Really sorry to hear that Talon. Looks like we had interviews (In Bangkok?) on the same date.

I hope all goes well for you in appeals.

We have yet to hear back (my husband was called in for a second interview on February 13th). I can only imagine your heartbreak today. Focus on the appeals process. Dig your heels in and hopefully you will have a quick appeals date.

Did they just let you know now? 3 months after the interview. Horrible.

I truly feel for you today.

My wifes interview was in Bangkok they told her she'd have an answer in 3 weeks Letter was dated Feb 11th ecas updated feb 18 as decision made letter was emailed about 3 hours ago.

In the last 2 months have had 2 local MP's look into her file as well as PM's office and Minister of Imm. (last 2 were a surprise they both emailed me about 2 weeks apart concerning the status of my wifes case all saying I should expect a decision soon.)

Three months to decide. God. Really the feeling of being toyed with is intense. It is hard not to get angry.

Take today to be angry. Then start preparing for the future. It is a long hard road, longer and harder for some of us.

You will get there. It will just take time.

I wish I had better words to say.
