Does anyone know how long SVO take to issue visa? My wife submitted her passport on Dec 7th and we have not heard anything from SVO since.

hello ching. Can u please tell me did svo emailed u theirselves or they replied ur specific enquiry? When did ur file went in process? Did they mention the date when the medical file was sent for reassessment? One last question did they mention the next step will be passport asking? Sorry for tons of question ???

Actually I send SVO an email to inquiry on my application status. So they reply me as I mention earlier. As I only realize the status been update that after I receive their reply on 20 Dec, so what it show on e-cas is "IN PROCESS on 10 Dec".
I assume that they already send my medical file for reassessment, since they did mention that they had sent the request for reassessment to the correspondence department in the email.
And they did mention after they get the approval for the medical file reassessment, they will ask for my passport.

P/S: they did mention in the email that, my assessment process was stuck in process due to my medical file expiry date.

Thank you and all your info & suggestions from the beginning. My tension is over, all i was worried was the interview, now i can breath and put my full mind to my daughters arrival. No hurry for anything Inshallah ill go to bring my husband when everything completed.

Its great to hear that everyone has update in their file except me. i think i'm only in this forum who has no update since 2011. Could anyone tell me if i assign a lawyear thhen my file will go in processs soon or not. i emailed some immigration lawyear one of them he can take my case i have to pay 2000 usd. it will wise to assign him?

Guys, who among you has experience of requesting a Singapore police clearance but your outside Singapore already?

@ chingching:thanks @ Afrose:hi, a lawyer cant speed up the process nether an MP, and honestly hiring one now wont be useful for anything but waste of money. A lawyer would be useful for legal advice and such when filling out application.. or after one get refused and need for appeal otherwise its not useful. At this stage what can be done to know what is going on is GCMS notes, sending email to specific enquiry to VO(ask to know the status of application or find an excuse to say you havent heard anything from them for a while and wanted to make sure they have right email ID & address) or ask an MP to find out what is hapenning(some MP contact VO to know about the file) . thats my opinion. Also we have Amy waiting havent heard of her for a while she applied in 2011 as far as i know she is still waiting and her file in process. I really wish you hear from VO very soon and everyone else waiting.......And i think maybe the baby being added might be a reason why its taking longer,just an idea.

Hi blessedelaine! I have experience requesting a Singapore police clearance but, from within Singapore. My sister, whilst in Australia, applied for a Singapore Police Clearance from Australia (counts as outside Singapore, right?). From what I gather from the SPF website, they mentioned "Singapore Citizen residing overseas should submit their completed application forms (original)
addressed to: Head Criminal Records, CID (COC), Blk D Police Cantonment Complex,
#02-07/08, 391 New Bridge Road, Singapore 088762".

From my deductions, am I right to assume that you are a Filipino? And have lived in Singapore for more than 6 months before? Therefore you are required to attain a Certificate of Clearance from Singapore as well?

Since they specifically mentioned "Singapore Citizen" and if you are not one, I am sure you would still be able to obtain a COC from Singapore. If you would rather be sure and need confirmation, do email or call the office to make sure. Steps are available on the SPF website on how you can obtain your Singapore COC from overseas.

Thanks ching sure it would help. I think we share similar timeline. Can u please share your time line? We are the first member in this forum who been asked for medical reassesment. Dont know it will make the process faster or even slower more. I will email them when its two month since they said they are reassessing. Please keep me posted about any update you get to hear. thanks
