Heh; This is too good to be true. It seems that our ECAS status has also been updated to "In Process". After months of waiting (since May 2011), they finally made some progress.

I just hope this isn't another system glitch like they had last time; where everyone's status turned into "in Process" after the re-appearance of the adddresses on ECAS.

Though they did update our address, as per our request. So, I guess someone *is* working to update ECAS. Heh.
What is your current ECAS status?

Well, the "In Process since February 8" if that's what you meant. And no, we don't see "medical result received", because they're requesting us to do RE-MED along with additional documents (criminal record and schedule A) and passport(!!! I KNOW!) to be sent in a single package.

I'm curious about this. Is there any way you can copy and paste the part of the email you received that deals with submitting your passport in person? Does it specifically say that it takes 2-3 business days? If so, that would bode well for us-- it means it'd be more likely that my wife could come back with me at the end of my present trip!

@dangerJones

Hi dangerjones! My wife scanned the letters for me to see, this is what it said for our situation. What do your letters say? What country is your wife in? The letter she got for appendix b says 3 ways of submitting the passport. The last option i have is for (for person residing overseas) if u choose to submit in person allow 2-3daysto process visa. and the other options are by mail/courier and for person residing in singapore. We seem to be in the same boat too im going to my wifes country next month for my vacation and this happen same time so were going to fly to singapore and submit it in person!

I will try and help u out if i figure anything more out! just look at her stuff and read it carefully!

Well, we haven't gotten any letters yet, just an update to eCAS as I posted previously. I asked you about your letter so I could get a better idea of how the submission process works. I figure each PPR must have much of the same information in it, so we'll take a look at ours when it comes. My wife is from Vietnam and is working there right now. It's not very hard to fly over to Singapore, so if they would really return her passport with a visa in 2-3 business days, then we will probably do that when the time comes. 2-3 days is way better than 4-6 weeks!

Best of luck to you and keep us posted!

My wife did her re-med and new passport photos, and we sent them to Singapore a few days before Christmas. I was under the impression that re-med & passport photos meant they were ready to approve us, but we still have nothing 2 months later. Is this normal or should I be worried?

Do you see medical result on your eCAS? Did you submit passport? What did you submit to Singapore VO? And what is your current ECAS status? Is your wife address show?

singapore is a joke....

my wait is now 11months and 15 days.

they sent my old lady all our pics, paper work, etc back to her on june2010 and a letter saying she on the interview list.
In that letter it also says they will contact and inform her the date, time, and location of her interview.

the end of this September will be 3 months of waiting on a date, time, location for my wife's interview.

i swear these people are MORONS! just for an interview date!!!!

i havent seen my wife in a lil over a year, i miss her, i love her.

but this long process is starting to make us slip away from each other.......

goodluck to everyone else out there because i sure need it
HEy whats up? i see you didnt come on the forum for a while, i would appreciate if you can give an update of your case. You finally got the second interview letter i guess .....Is your spouse with you now?

Hey lifer i read your post and and have some questions for u! Did u read the letters and what did they require? Did she submit her passport? U need to look at that stuff asap! Ur wife might missed something or its cuz ur using the mail service and requested it this way to come back to you! Which using the mail service and having it come this way could take couple of months. My wife had 3 options 2 of them applying to her, as i stating in another post. My wife is doing her remed then she has to wait 2 weeks before submitting her passport and info the require, and it listed 3 options and were choosing option 3 to submit in person, this is the fastest option but costly since we both have to fly to singapore but its worth it after this long wait! Review your stuff and post back!
