Hi there,

My wife’s Permanent Resident Spousal application (PA: Bangladesh) was received by IRCC on August 9, 2019 (over 15 months ago). The interview decision was made in late January 2020 (over 9 months now) per GCMS notes by Singapore IRCC but there is no update to this application since then. Based on our GCMS notes, even though the initial review officer in Singapore IRCC suggested interview waiver and “Recommended Pass” under Eligibility criteria after paper screening, the final review officer changed Eligibility from “Recommended Pass” to “Recommended Interview” later.

I am visiting my wife in Bangladesh now. We just found out that she is pregnant. Should we inform IRCC about her pregnancy with supporting document such as Ultrasound test report using Case Specific Enquiry – Singapore IRCC Webform? Is this new information going to have a positive impact on her application outcome (the genuineness of our relationship)? Is it going to be helpful to request Singapore IRCC to speed up her interview process so she can be in Canada before the child birth (due date July 8, 2021) as we want our child to born in Canada?

Our intention is to use this new information to speed up the application process as we are waiting for more than 15 months now.

I would really appreciate your suggestion.
How can we know about the initial officer and final review officer? Thank you very much.

Received the following reply from IRCC Singapore. Virtual interview is coming soon –

Dear Sir / Madam,
Thank you for your enquiry to the Migration Section of the High Commission of Canada to Singapore.
We are in the preparation of virtual interview. Once a date is scheduled, the applicant will receive an appointment/interview letter approximately four weeks before the interview date. Further instructions will be provided to applicants upon confirmation on the schedule.
We hope this information will be of assistance.
Sincerely,
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) / Immigration, Réfugiés et Citoyenneté Canada (IRCC) / SR

Hi, How did you learn about decision made on 13 November 2020? Was they updated to your online account? or by calling them?

Did anyone get an appointment for a virtual interview?

The Singapore VO confirmed that they're doing virtual interviews but it seems like nobody actually did one or got an appointment for one.

It took us 3 months after AOR2 to get medical. SVO takes time :(. And after medical, there is waiting too. We got the interview queue letter after we got the medical request. So the waiting after medical was longer for us.
What I understood is if the marriage is less than 2 years, no child and PA from Bangladesh the application takes time. It's just my observation!
Hi! I read that you mentioned here you received an interview letter? Have you benn interviewed by SGVO already?

We are also in queue for an interview but we dont know what it is all about. We are in ame sex relationship applied under SINP w/ job offer. Also, we received a procedural fairness letter questioning the genuiness of our job offer. Im not sure if the interview is usually to confirm the geuniness of the relationship or was it because they saw some red flags? But PFL letter was already answered by the lawyer and no response too from them after 4 months.
