I need a sincere advice for my situation.

I have submitted my wife sponsorship application a month ago. It is now in CPC-M.

I found out that the application forms were not filled properly showing severe deficiency. I am afraid that this will be a background of rejection. Reassured that there was no lies but I answered everything honestly. This is just an example:

- In the finance support- I answered with NO. There was no wire transfers at the time I filled in the application but there was one transfer with 2000 USD that occurred later. Moreover, my wife is not financially dependent on me as she has a very decent job in her home. I even asked her to keep th money I transferred for our future trips.

The above is just an example of what I did.

- We delayed the reception party and the honeymoon. After the marriage ceremony, I had to leave due to my limited vacation time with my plan to return to do them. I was honest and answered with NO but forgot to provide adequate explanations with documentation that I have now: letter of employer showing dates of leave and return).

I am thinking to withdraw the application and submit it again when everything is complete.

- What will be the consequences of the withdrawal? I can withdraw the current application and submit the new one right away. I will explain in my letter that the first application is weak and wanted to amend the applications and provide more documentations.

Please advise in my dilemma. I prefer to withdraw the application and re-submit a new one rather than getting rejection in the end after waiting for more than a year in my visa office plus all the anxiety during the waiting time. I have thinking to submit the new proofs I have but I am afraid that they won't be added to the original application due to any reason.

Please advise.

My suggestion is not to withdraw. If CIC is not satisfied they will ask for aditional documents or request for an interview. I don't know your visa office. If the processing time is not too long, then even interview will not delay the process.

If i were you i wouldnt because they would have a red flag..

You can submit this extra evidence after the file has reached the visa office and been assigned a number. It is true things sent in sometimes get lost; but keep a copy of everything, and your wife can take it with her to the interview, if any. I wouldn't withdraw the file now.
