Hi All,
This might be a dumb question but its defiantly confusing.

In the application form, we are requested to provide the places we last lived in since the age of 18 or in the last 10 years, what ever comes first. I am now 35 in age, which ones come first? last 10 years or age of 18? The reason of why i am confused, because the police certificate is required for any place you lived in since the age of 18. However, considering my age, the last 10 years comes first, and hence i will only be including the places i lived in since the last 10 years. There are also some places i lived in for more than 6 months after the age of 18 which won't be listed because they are not part of the last 10 years. Would i still need to submit a police certificate for them even though there is no mention what so ever in the form of these places?

Hi

This one causes issues for a lot of people. You are doing it correctly; counting back from your current age, you reach the 10 year mark before your 18th birthday, which makes the 10 years the most recent.

However, CIC frequently requests an updated IMM5669 with information going back to the 18th birthday. If you decide not to include required PCCs and CIC requests the updated form going back to your 18th birthday, it will delay your app. CIC would need to issue the PCC requests to you, you would have to apply and wait however long for them to arrive; this could take months. It's better to just get them now and avoid any possible delays.
