SIN update from temporary to permanent

Hi everyone,

I recently applied to get my new SIN after receiving my CoPR. I used to have a SIN beginning in 9 (temporary residence) and the new one starts with 1. I’m in Ontario, everything from last port of entry to my province of residence is Ontario. Would this cause any issues in the future? I know that SIN given usually starts with the number corresponding to where it was issued. In this case, Ontario - which should be 4 or 5.

thoughts? or am I just paranoid?

It doesn’t matter.
A SIN number is a SIN number anywhere in Canada

Yes i have talked service canada agent and he aslo said same sin is sin
