SIN Card afte PR - Inland applicant

Hi all,

Just curious when do you get the new SIN card once you have received your PR? Is it the first thing we should do (as we all inlanders have temporary SIN cards)?

When you received COPR and Immigrant visa on your passport, you have to completed landing procedure then you will be able to apply new sin at service Canada.

yes go to service canada with your copr , passport, driver's license and old sin card.

now they will take your old sin card and will give you new sin no which starts with digit other than 9.

also now sin card is not offered anymore so they will just print your sin no on a paper that you have to keep it safe. card system has been abundant.

For me they didn't asked my old SIN card.
I took passport, CoPR landing document and health card to get the new SIN number. They give the new SIN number on printed paper which you have to keep it in a safe place.
