Hello guys
My mom applied for a visitor visa to come to Canada meet her son and grandchild
After two three days they sent her bio metrics collection request letter..
Does this mean that they had an initial review on the app and it is a positive sign?
Or it is just a very normal process to have a complete app before the review it ?

So questions are;

1-Shall we consider it positive ? Yes or No
2-Will she leave her passport after giving the bio metrics or she will take it home and she will be asked to drop it later if the visa gets approved?

2) She has to just give her biometrics. If the application is approved then only will she be asked to submit her passport.

To add, 1) No, because they will collect the biometrics even if they intend to refuse. This is so that an applicant can't try to use a different identity to try again.
