Simple Question - job search related

I'm looking for a job for a couple of weeks (from my country, Portugal) and received just a few negative responses.
So my question is, for the ones that were in the situation, apllying from outside of Canada:
How long did you take to find a job? Which job? Did you get a phone or network interview?

If anyone tries to charge you money to find a job in Canada - don't pay it. Chances are extremely high it's a scam.
