Silly question: do UCIs ever change?

Hi everyone,

I applied for inland spousal sponsorship back in early February and like most people have yet to receive an AOR. I have my UCI number from previous work permits etc. and I was just wondering if anyone know whether they "change"? Like will my UCI number always remain the same or will I be given a new one for this application or something? I understand that this may be a straightforward question but I would just like some confirmation!

No, it is the same number that will stay with you. It is why it is called "unique" in UCI.

yup, it doesn't change as far as I know. I have the same UCI during my time with work visas, PR and finally Citizen.
