Hello,

I have a question in regard to the sibling criteria for express entry. I have a brother who has a pr but does not reside in Canada at the moment. Can I tell IRCC that I satisfy the sibling criteria?

On the other hand, my parents are citizens of Canada. So can I somehow use their names in my application as well to make my case stronger? I did not get a clear answer anywhere as my situation is very unique. Hope someone can provide some clarity.

Thank you

No, you cannot tell IRCC that you satisfy the sibling criteria. To satisfy that criteria and get the points, your sibling needs to be living in Canada and you must provide evidence to show this.

No points for your parents.
