Hello there!

I have read some similar posts however I have some unique questions that I was hoping someone could help with.

I am currently 20 weeks pregnant and due mid March. My husband and I got our PR in August and activated our PR in October with a 8 day visit to my sister in Ontario. Our plan has always been to have our baby at home in South Africa and then my husband would sponsor our baby, sponsorship looked relatively straightforward however we were unaware of the wait time - we are not prepared to be separated for a long period of time (max a month). I know the baby can apply for a trv/trp but it does seem a bit risky and the whole process seems quite lengthly so we are wondering if we should just take the leap and begin our move sooner rather than later.

Our other option is for me to land in Canada at the end of November and stay with my sister until my husband comes in January and we can rent a house. This way 30 days wouldn't have elapsed since our last visit and we would be able to have ohip earlier. My husband has a great job here and we own a house and have two dogs, so we are obviously reluctant to go so soon but we understand having the baby in Canada has its benefits. So like I said, we are considering having me leave end of nov and then he would join us in January (if all goes well) with our dogs and the house packed up. However that only gives him two months to find a job and sort out our affairs at home.

So 1) is sponsorship really a nightmare process that we should try avoid?
2) is two months enough time to move? We have an offer on our house so hopefully that is taken care of, but what about selling our cars and shipping our household contents?
3) my husband is an electrical engineer - is it too risky for him to give up his job here and have two months to find something in Canada?
4) basically overall, what would you suggest? Have the baby at home or come to Canada ?

THANK YOU

Edit: sorry just saw I mispelt Canada and have no idea how to change it

Sponsorship will be a nightmare because either you or your husband will need to come and remain in Canada during the process. Make sense if you move and delivery the baby alone. Your sister's family can look after. He can continue his job at home if he wants (although might lose his PR).
