I've just learned that Visitor Extension takes about 136 days..

I already have submitted my application on Jan 6th, and was wondering why it's taking so long.
I had no idea that Visitor Extension from inland would take this long,
since I've been a student and a worker before, with only about 1 month maximum wait for each visa application.

Currently I'm stuck at "Final decision : Not Started" obviously because they are still working on the Sep, 2015 applications right now.

So what can I do now? I have everything prepared with my Common-law partner / sponsor, and I'm sitting here with an expired Visitor visa...
What can I do in this situation? There's no way I can apply for PR safely, without the Visitor Visa, is there?

Sorry about the double post, the server was laggy when I was posting it, and I can't delete these posts.

As long as CIC received your visitor extension application before your visitor status expired, you're on implied status until they make a decision. I don't think that would affect anything if you sent off your PR application now before a decision on the visitor extension is reached.

Edit: I didn't notice that this was a duplicate until after I posted.
