Should I use same CIC account for online payment and linking my application?

HI all

Questions about use of account. I (the sponsor) am sponsoring my wife (the applicant).

1. Should I use same CIC account for paying the application fees online, and for linking our application online to check the status?
2. If so, is it better to use my wife's account as she is the applicant?

A Hong Konger here. To answer your question, it does not really matter as you will need to print out the receipt to include with your application anyway. FYI I was using 2 accounts -- one for application linking and another for payment purpose.

And when you proceed to biometrics appointment and PPR submission, you will need to present that print out receipt as proof of payment.
