Should I try to get in the Canada or not

Hey guys,

Thanks for your time in advance. I'm from Pakistan and I have done Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and I have worked in the Oil/Gas Sector for a year as an Electrician. After that I couldn't get a decent job and I am jobless for a year now. I'm thinking of moving to Canada to study/work and get settled there eventually. The thing is I don't wanna go for Masters degree because after the three years gap I'm not really comfortable with higher studying at the moment. So, I wanna get enrolled in some diploma which can help me a find a decent job in Canada after it's completion.
Here my options;
I can go for the diploma related to Oil/Gas sector or I can go for the diploma in Electrical trade or any other if you guys recommend it.

Problem is I will have to borrow money for this whole transition/education. That's why I must be saving 1000 dollars or a little less per month while studying So that I can keep on returning the borrowed money.

I know this is a long description but I really need help from you guys. Is it a good idea for me to move to Canada? & How much money Im gonna need in the beginning?

If you want to settle in Canada, you should take a post graduate diploma (rather than just a regular diploma) and the course should be 2 years in length so that you get a three year post graduate work permit. And even with a post graduate diploma, there is no guarantee you will get a really good job or eventually obtain PR.

It will definitely cost you more than $1,000 per month for your tuition and living expenses combined. I would count on it costing around $2,000 per month. If you can only afford costs of $1,000 or less per month then it doesn't sound like coming to Canada would be the right choice for you.

Note that Canada's oil and gas sector is currently going through a slow-down and it's difficult to find jobs.
