Should i take up CELPIP instead?

Hello Members,

I am pretty upset as i write this thread.

With three attempts at IELTS i am still not able to get a desired score. I consider myself pretty above average but i am not sure what i am not doing right out here. I certainly need some motivation.

I was considering giving a shot at CELPIP, do you think its worth a shot?

My IELTS scores:

July 2017: L8.5, R6.0, W7.0 S8.5
Aug 2014: LS7.5 WR 6.5
Sept 2017: L8.0, R6.5, W6.5, S7.5

What do you guys think i should do?

CELPIP is very complicated design. I recommend don't go with this test.

Thanks Sekhwal, i did some research and tried practice tests too, i don't think its the time to try and test. i will go with IELTS!

I disagree.

I was in a hurry applying through old CEC time ago and decide to go with both test with a week difference hoping to get the most possible (I wasn't too confident even with a required CBL 5)

CELPIP
If you're used to work with computers, sending emails and filling out online forms this test is good for you.

Even the Written part has a basic spelling corrector helping to avoid minor misspellings.

I was very comfortable with Reading and Writing, no too bad with Listening (headphones were not too good), and bad with Speaking (I don't like speaking to the computer when more people is doing the same, but it could be fixed with some practice in a noisy area)

IETLS.
I hated the hand Writing part, the Listening wasn't great due to the classroom acoustic, Reading was OK and Speaking was great talking to a real person.

Overall I performed a bit better in IETLS but I was happier with CELPIP (except with Speaking)

I don't see why you shouldn't try a different approach, if you're computer literate, just practice before go to the test
