Should I bother with CSQ?

I am an American, fluent in English and French. I have an MBA and two years work experience as a financial systems software engineer.

Arrima Points (CSQ): 68
CRS Points(Express Entry): 486

I am confident I have enough points to be selected through the express entry system, but I still need about six months to save up the required funds.

Funds for CSQ are much lower, so I could apply right away. Should I apply for Arrima or just save up the proof of funds for express entry?

Ditch Arrima, opt for EE. Quebec is nightmare. Csq through Arrima - people have been waiting for more than six months without any results. Federal waiting times are getting close to two years.
Quebec is an option for those who can't match up crs scores. It's a black hole. Escape if you have options.

Couldn't agree more with you. Also the policy of immigration in Quebec is not in a stable stage, things could change any day.

TLDR; Forget immigrating to Canada via Quebec.

Because :-

https://montrealgazette.com/news/quebec/caq-will-proceed-with-quebec-immigration-reform-despite-legal-setback

Read the plight of unlucky souls who are stuck in Quebec's immigration limbo for years & years.

https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/arrima-applications-invited-in-2019-by-midi.661515/page-38#post-8450997

Also note that those Arrima points are bullshit. Quebec immigration department is a blackbox.
They have no publicly available information on what criteria they are using to select candidates. The nationalist CAQ party premier of Quebec has publicly said he prefers "White Europeans" Source: https://montrealgazette.com/news/quebec/caqs-immigration-plan-blasted-for-favouring-european-white-francophones
If you are white, you might get a pass :)
