Hello friends,

We are so close to finishing the application. I am sponsoring my common law girlfriend, we have been living together in Slovakia for the last year. Before I left Toronto I had a decent paying job for a fresh university graduate, when I came to Slovakia I worked for a world recognized corp. but my salary, being great for the local economy, isn't so great for Canada. When i return to Toronto I have several job interviews pending but not job yet.

Should I ask my father to cosign, or is a letter (including T4) stating that he will provide shelter and basic necessities until I get a job enough?

Neither myself or the applicant have any children.

Your father cannot co-sign. You can't have a co-signer for a spousal sponsorship application. Your father can however provide a letter stating he will help you financially and with housing.
