Short Multiple V-1

Hi All,

A cousin have 3 TRV to canada.

First 1.5 year.( issue in Home country)

Second 1 yr ( issue in NY while on holiday as pick up was next day,compare to home country which was 14 days)

Third 2.5 yr - All multiple entry visa.....


Now he got a new passport applied and approve with 3 yrs this time....whats up with all this sort visa ? Thus Canada this he's high risk ?


I would think after all this visa you grand the person full 5 year. Mind u the last visa was not totally expired he just got new passport an wanted to apply for new visa instead pay 30$ for transfer of visa.....


Any one wish to comment of possible reason ?

Also getting the VO notes will harm future application ?

length of the visa is the prerogative of the visa officer. I'm not sure what the questions is. Are you upset that your cousin only got visa with 3 year validity when you were expecting it to be 5 years?

I don't know if you can request for VO notes but if you can, I don't see a reason why it would affect future application

Well after 3 multiple entry visa was issued it's reasonable to expect for a new PP you get 5 yrs visa.

He was issued a US visa for 10 yrs but long b4 even think of visiting Canada, however it appears the Canadian real ruff on him in terms of all these short visa....it means each time CAD 150 have to be paid.

Well not me want to request VO notes...we have relative in Canada who are citizen so that relative can make the necessary application , i would not mind reading it my self to see what exactly the officer was thinking at the time.

I see your point but it's completely up to the VO to decide the length of the visa
