LANDED..........
10-12-2012
Hello All,

Can someone who is on a work trip to the US, do a short landing in Canada and go back?
What would be the details involved? Is it OK to do that? Its a genuine case as the person needs to end work ties back home and then come to Canada.
Would it create any issues to do a short landing?

Kind Regards,
Nick

People do short landings all the time and is to a degree expected sometimes that people land sort out their PR card (with a Canada address) and SIN application then return to their home country to tidy up their affairs. No longer than 3 years by the way to maintain PR residency obligation. Does not really make any difference whether land or air border just turn up with the required PR documentation.
