Short Landing and than Short Return

We are a couple and doing first landing in March in Canada.

After a week we have to go to LOS Angeles for a week and return to Canada.

Is it possible to apply for my PR card and than get PRTD for going back to Canada. Is there any way out?

You can enter Canada by driving a car either urs or rented. Then u only have to show COPR

you means if we r going in short visit by road we can not eligible to apply for PR by giving Canadian address?
