Also, in this case can we put in low declared value such as 30-35k of the laptop. It is i7 though

Dont put it too low . else they can object to that and your item will get stuck..

yes it reached fine with DHL , i had to pay 75% of the declared value approx 39K.

Hi!! Can you please tell How did you make that payment? You paid it to DHL or directly to customs?

Most of the organisations except banking and finance allows buyout of IT assets. They normally charge the depreciated value and let the person go. Since most of you are working from Canada it’s safe to assume that you are not employed at finance sector, otherwise you won’t be about able to login outside india.
Buyout is the one way you can opt for, it should work. If it doesn’t, then try the other way.
