Share your experiences of Homestay

I am planing on staying in Homestay in Kamloops for my bachelors degree at Thompson Rivers University.
Please give me tips and information regarding day to day living with a new family.

dont go for homestay, i would suggest you to go for peerstay, thats better..atleast yoi can cook and eat whatever you want to..in homestay there are certain restriction which i personally do not like..rest it will be your decision..best of luck!!!

If home stay means staying with another family then Restrictions like by what time one has to come home or what time to stay up,having friends over, drinking & smoking , abide by that family rules etc etc

food can be the biggest restriction...u may not be allowed to cook food .....staying up late would be a problem...having friends over would be a problem.....sharing apartment with friends is better as then u r free to do what u want as ur not staying in someones home......
