Shall I re-take IETLS?

Hi guys,

currently I've got a CRS score of 468 with IETLS R9L9S8.5W7. I thought we were pretty good with our score but then the last draw went to 473. I wonder if you could give me some advice ---- is it worth retaking IELTS so my writing can go up to 7.5, and our total score can reach 471? I am asking because I don't know if the 2016 new policy will keep the scores always high.

You already have the best IELTS score. I am sure you will get the ITA in the next draw. All the best.

I second the above opinion. You have excellent scores. No need to retake the IELTS. Just wait and soon you will receive the ITA. Last draw was a little higher, but it has gone as low as 450. Your score of 473 is great. Just hang in there and very soon you should have an invitation. ;D

Actually, I am on a similar boat as yours.

I have 467 score with me as primary applicant and 479 with wife as primary.
But as she works in a government agency, we feel it will be easier to arrange documents from my side.
So we have opened profile with me as PA.

This last draw has taken me by surprise. I am getting tempted to re-open our profile with her as PA but one side of mind says to wait for some time.

Sincerely hoping that the score drops to 467 again in the next draw.
Will wait till mid-April, else will move to Plan B.

Hang in there. My score was 467 too and I received the ITS in July 2015. The cutoff was 463 in that round. So very soon you will see the cut off go down.

I think with 468 you will get invite within next 1-3 month.
