One of the project in my company wants me to be on client-side in Canada, so having worked in Canda , will have negative effect if I apply for study - visa in canada in future.

When you apply for Study Permit, you have to leave your job. The main concern of Immigration Department is whether the candidate a boon or bane to the economy. By working in Canada you'll prove that you are definitely a boon to their economy as you have adjusted in their class and you'll be having sufficient funds to cover your education.

I am unsure about the tenure of work in Canada which I am getting from the project.
Either it can be of 3 months duration : which I don't wish or It can be of long term upto an year:but not beyond that.
If I apply for study-visa of 2 years duration , which I will be applying next week , I get work permit of 3 years.
Thats why I am favoring study - visa.If my visa gets rejected this time and I travel to Canada for short term for work.
In future if I intend to study in Canada , my previous work-permit should not be reason of rejection.

if you work in canada for a year in a skilled job you can get PR directly thru CEC .I would definately take the work permit..!!
if you obey ur visa rules and come back gracefully after ur work permt expires u can apply for study permit , the gud travel history
would no doubt help you... and ur canadian experience would help u as well!!

@ sidhesh, could you please tell me if this is a transition travel (is it for some outsourcing company) please share the fact as answer to your query is totally based on that.
