We were planning to move from US to Canada in May. It is looking very unlikely at this point because of SARS-CoV-2 border restrictions. I'm wondering about moving later in the summer now because if we wait much longer, we're pushing the envelope on being able to renew our PR cards down the road due to residency requirements.
If the 14-day isolation period is still in effect, can we "settle" but bring our moving truck of personal belongings up at a different point (once the isolation period has passed)? Or when you officially declare you are settling, do you need to have your "accompanying goods" there with you when you cross the border? And would that even be allowed by border agents?
We've already landed, if that wasn't clear.
Thanks for any advice.
