No such thing as a ghost update. This has been demystified by LegalFalcon and other legal experts on the forum. The date update on top right is a system update date and has nothing to do with your application - this was tweeted by IRCC.

And, there's no such thing as receiving GUs before FD or even getting an FD date for many. Wait for the stages to reach completed or a PPR/RFV - everything else is a speculation that has only hurt people through false expectations here.

Well, I think experiences are very variable but I do think GU exist. Might mean a VO is working on the file or reviewing it. I got my BIL on Sept 18 and because I kept re logging on my GC key, I saw that my Med had passed. Didn’t get message until Sept 19.
Then, I got a GU that application had been updated on GCkey 03/10, didn’t find anything but when I checked my tracker my eligibility had changed from “not started” to “completed”. But again, updates may be variable for everyone, especially as the IT system won’t be 100% efficient.

It seems you’ve edited your response cos I was seriously wondering what you’re on about when you wrote “your thinking doesn’t supersede……”. I’m not interested in whatever authority/“all knowing” battle you want to have. I only shared my experience and that’s it. You can as well share your facts without being rude.

Made it polite to save your feelings(not mine), but not a big fan of "I think", especially when people force anecdotal info as truth. That ruins immigration expectations for all and has far more severe impact to someone's journey than you think.

Did you get any updates? I have not received any updates since my AOR. My AOR date is 10th sept 2025. Nothing has come so far. No medical updates or no BIL.

This is big misconception. So the rule says that your biometric is valid for 10 years and it will be considered only if you renew your same status that you applied for previously when you gave biometric.

e.g: You provided Biometric for Open Work Permit in last 10 years then it will be valid for your renewal of Open Work Permit within 10 years of last biometric.

Since you have now applied for PR which will change your status from Open Work Permit to PR it requires fresh biometric which will be valid for next 10 years and you would not need to provide biometric when you renew your PR.

Same AOR date and healthcare category too. I have not received any updates no medical and no BIL. CEC applicant

Lmao!! “save your feelings….” “force anecdotal info..” You have an intrinsic problem. I had just shared my experience and that’s it. I actually don’t care what you’re fan of. Again, you need to grow up, learn internet etiquette, and be able to respectfully disagree or state your opinion. Being an online bully just shows how much of a coward you are. Cheers!

Hello everyone, is there anyone with September 2025 AOR yet to be send a BIL for biometrics? A lot of people that submitted after September 10, 2025 seem to still be expecting BIL.

10th sept no update yet! No BIL no medical. CEC healthcare applicant.
