How long does it take to receive the PR card these days?

If nothing goes wrong a month or month and a half. If it takes more than 1.5 months, logical to call IRCC and ask if one was sent that never reached you -> if so, apply for a new PR card using the form on IRCC website. You can physically mail the filled form or fax it to IRCC (I think Nova Scotia office).
