I just searched in this forum about school records, I read they returned their apps because of missing school records
Kids under 18 get their citizenship without even residing in Canada if any of their parents get the citizenship. However it is hard to believe that parents would stay in Canada without their kids for at least 3 years to get citizenship.

@sylvain1 please add me to the tracker.

I recently realized I just became eligible for citizenship, so prepared my application within a very short time and sent it off. Don't know if I made any mistakes. I did one-sided printing for all documents (including the form) and then just used paper clips to put the documents together in the order mentioned in the Document Checklist. All documents were printed and signed on 06-Sep-2019 but the photographs were taken on 08-Sep-2019. I sent the application off via Canada Post Express Envelope (with tracking number) on 09-Sep-2019 to the Regular Mail address mentioned on the Document Checklist.

Just wondering why is everyone mentioning their location in their posts? Does it impact the processing of the application? Also wanted to know if the whole application process will be conducted off of the Sydney, NS office? I mean they will send AOR and send invitation to attend test/interview/oath ceremony, etc. Will they select the location for test/interview/oath ceremony based on my current residential address that I mentioned in the application?

Sorry, lots of questions, but I am just curious. Thanks in advance. :)

Yes some locations are faster/slower
Like, I'm in Quebec city. We do not have any permanent CIC office here, so they will open a temporary office a few times a year, few days each time, to conduct exams and ceremonies. In Toronto, you have permanent offices, but still they will organise exams and ceremonies in batches. The test, interview and ceremony will be in your local office.

AOR is by email, but don't expect it for 2 months. June applicants got it on average in 71 days; for July applicants so far the average is at 67 days.

Hi everyone,

I applied for my citizenship today. I only sent a copy of my latest passport (biographical copy) which was valid for the last 3 years. I do not have my old passport. Do you think this will be a problem?
